What is Chikker?
Chikker is an online and mobile service wherein members can submit updates anytime and anywhere via mobile. Followers of the said member receives these updates on their mobile as well.
Who can use Chikker?
Smart, Talk ‘N Text, Globe, Touch Mobile & Sun Cellular subscribers with an active prepaid or postpaid account can use Chikker.
How much will I get charged if I use Chikker?
Sending and receiving of a message is charged P1.00.
What is the access number?
2940 – Smart and Talk ‘N Text subscribers
2354 – Globe, Touch Mobile & Sun Cellular subscribers
Starting a Chikker Account
Via MOBILE
- Subscriber must send REG <ur name> to access number for free. Ex. REG JuanCruz send to 2940 (for Smart)
- 1 mobile number = 1 Chikker account
- System will assign a unique username if the username is already taken.
- To change the assigned username or to change username, sub must send NAME
to access number. - Once registered, sub may then start inviting subscribers to follow him/her on Chikker Mobile.
Via WEB
- Subscriber must log on to www.chikker.com and provide a username and mobile number on the Sign-up field.
- A free confirmation message with a password will be sent to the subscriber’s mobile number. Once received, sub just needs to provide mobile number and password on the Log-in field and he’s all set to use Chikker.
To Invite Members
Via MOBILE
- Chikker member may invite friends by sending INVITE
to access number. - An invite is valid for 24 hours only.
- Invited subs may accept or block an invitation by sending YES or BLOCK to the suffixed number.
- Subs may entirely block all invites from Chikker Mobile by sending BLOCK ALL to access number.
- To accept individual invitation from Chikker Mobile again, sub must send UNBLOCK
to access number. - To accept all invitations from Chikker mobile, sub must send UNBLOCK ALL to access number.
Via WEB
- Chikker member may invite friends by clicking the invite button of another Chikker member.
- Chikker member may also block invites via web.
*A member will be automatically blocked from sending invites when the invitee does not reply on the 3rd invite.
To Send Updates to Followers
Via MOBILE
- Chikker member may send updates anytime, anywhere by sending PUBLISH
to access number via mobile. Message must be limited to 140 characters only. - Followers will then get the message update from the Chikker member on their mobile phones
Via WEB
- Chikker member may send updates to all his/her followers via web for free.
To Follow a Chikker Member / Subscribe to a Chikker Member’s account
Via MOBILE
- To subscribe to a Chikker member’s account, sub must send JOIN
to access number. - Sub will then get regular updates from the Chikker member.
- To opt out from a Chikker member’s account, sub must send STOP
to access number. - To opt out from all Chikker members’ account subscribed to, send STOP ALL to access number.
Via WEB
- Chikker member may view updates of a fellow member via Chikker Mobile feeds.
To Update to a Chikker Member’s Profile
Via MOBILE
- To update profile, sub must send DESC <age>/<gender>/<short description> to access number.
- To view a member’s profile, sub must send PROFILE
to access number. - To view own profile, sub must send MYPROFILE to access number.
Via WEB
- Chikker member may update his profile thru the profile page.
- Required fields must be filled out in order to update a member’s profile.
Sending a Private Message
- Subs may send private message to a Chikker Member by sending PM
to access number. - Chikker member may block the private message from a sub by sending IGNORE to a suffixed code or IGNORE
and send to access number. - Chikker member may block ALL private messages by sending IGNORE ALL to access number.
- To start accepting private messages from subs again, Chikker member must send ACCEPT < username> to access number.
List of Members
- To get a list of random Chikker members, sub must send LIST to access number.
- To get a list of Chikker accounts a sub is following, sub must send FOLLOW to access number.
- To get a list of Chikker followers, send MYLIST to access number.
Help
- To see a list of keywords, sub must send CHIKKER HELP to access number.
Synching Chikker to Social Networking Sites (Facebook and Twitter)
- A registered Chikker member may synch his Chikker account with other social networking sites specifically Facebook and Twitter. Once Chikker account is synched, user may:
- Post an update via Chikker web/mobile and this update will be posted on all socnet accounts associated by the Chikker user
- Post an update via Socnet and this update will be posted on Chikker web and all other socnet accounts associated.
- Receive FB / Twitter friends’ updates on their mobile phones
- View FB / Twitter feeds on Chikker web
- To integrate other Socnets to Chikker, sub must log in to www.chikker.com
- Member should input the necessary fields in the SocNet tabs.
- Chikker sub who opts to follow a FB / Twitter friend via mobile may do so by manually setting the function on Chikker web. Sub can choose FB / Twitter friends who he/she wants to follow via Chikker mobile.
- A Chikker account can only associate 1 SocNet account for each SocNet.
- A SocNet account that has been associated to a Chikker account can only be used once.
- If a SocNet friend is not registered to Chikker, a Chikker user may still follow the SocNet user via Chikker mobile.
- Chikker sub may unsynch his/her Chikker account to SocNets at anytime.
Deactivating / Deleting Chikker Account
- Chikker sub may delete his account by sending OFF CHIKKER to access number. Once the account is deleted, all association and sync details will be removed.
